I recently had the pleasure of meeting and photographing this little lady, who at the time was 19 days new.

The best time for photographing newborns is within the first 14 days of birth, while they are still sleepy and flexible. After this 14 day period, babies tend to become more alert and sleep less deeply, making it more difficult to pose them successfully.

Mavis on the other hand, was still happy to be soothed and posed at nearly 3 weeks old, and isn't she just gorgeous!

Baby safety and happiness is the most important aspect of my sessions, and sometimes the best photo's are captured while little one is just being Mavis's case, a sneeze and a big stretch! I have to be quick with the camera though...look away and I'll miss it.

All parents have their favourite little characteristics and features...perhaps those wrinkly toes, or the tiny little hairs on their ears. Whatever it is, it is my job to capture those little details for you to cherish and remember.

If you are expecting, and wish to capture those precious first moments, please feel free to get in touch for a little chat. I can share my information guide with you, telling you everything you need to know about my sessions and what to expect.
